Juicing vs Caveman Diet

I think during this journey I learned that you have to stick it through no matter how hard or inconvenient your journey is to get the results you want. I  think the juicing was the hardest and most expensive and I lost less weight during that time and during a longer period of time than I did during the Caveman diet.

I would recommend the Caveman/Paleo diet to anyone who want to change their lifestyle and not just do something short term. I also think I lost more water weight during the juicing journey whereas I lost actual fat during the CAVEMAN DIET!

Paleo Diet

I have now been on the Caveman/Paleo diet for almost a week and a half and have lost TEN POUNDS!
For breakfast I have been eating oatmeal, for lunch salad which chicken, and for dinner rice with cooked green peppers, onions, celery, tomato, carrots, and any other veggies I like to throw in. It's very filling and quick and easy. There is little prep and cook time. Probably 20 minutes all together.

Gluten-Free Fad or Healthy Diet?

There is such a huge deal going on about why you should buy gluten free products and so many people are all of a sudden allergic to gluten. But 10 or 15 years ago you didn't hear about this gluten allergy. So why not? According to Discovery News , "A recent survey showed that 29 percent of Americans are interested in either giving gluten up altogether or vastly reducing their intake. And most of them do not have celiac disease and are not gluten sensitive."
Discovery News

Are these people really allergic to gluten or is it just a fad or trend people are wanting to follow or are they simply trying to lose weight?
According to Dr. Leffer, "People who are sensitive to gluten may feel better, but a larger portion will derive no significant benefit from the practice. They’ll simply waste their money, because these products are expensive,” says Dr. Leffler, who is also an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School."
Many people are becoming gluten free becasue it is the "cool" and "trendy" thing to do.
Harvard Health

SO what are the benefits of avoiding gluten foods.

1. Increase energy levels
2.lower bad cholesterol
3.assist digestive system
4.eliminate symptoms such as diarrhea, bloating and excessive gas
5.clears skin

How Does the Juice Taste

I have been asked my several people how the juice actually taste. That all depend on what you are adding to the juice. When you are starting I recommend using fruits you like  at first and gradually adding small amounts of fruits and veggies. Veggies like celery are Very strong!

Only add one stalk if you don't like the taste of celery and add an acid like pineapple or a berry to cover that. Other than that the juice is a little thick and has no pulp. The machine takes all the pulp out for you. I do NOT recommend using a blender.

I prefer to try and drink the juice all at once. Don't sip on it like you would any other drink. Try to get it down as quick as possible, not because it taste bad but because it starts to thicken.
If you have any other questions feel free to leave comments!!

Happy Juicing!
